President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted prominent Nigerian figures at his Lagos residence on Sunday, as part of activities marking the Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
Among those who visited the President were:
James Ibori, former Governor of Delta State
Abubakar Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning
Chief Razak Okoya, billionaire industrialist
Shade Okoya, wife of Razak Okoya
Their son, who accompanied them
The visit was part of a series of high-profile engagements since Tinubu arrived in Lagos on May 27. During his stay, he also participated in the 50th anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and commissioned several projects.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after the Eid celebrations.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message, the President:
Called on Nigerians to pray for national peace and unity
Acknowledged the sacrifices made by citizens over the past year
Reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving economic, physical, and social security
He emphasized that the government remains steadfast in placing the nation on a path of growth, development, and national cohesion.
