No Mercy! Police Storm Criminal Hideouts, Kill Kidnappers, Bust Robbery Rings In Two StatesThe Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the killing of seven suspected kidnappers, the arrest of five robbery suspects, and the recovery of stolen vehicles and firearms in coordinated operations across Delta and Kaduna States.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police said the successful operations were driven by intelligence-based strategies and strong collaboration with local security outfits.

According to the statement, on June 4, 2025, operatives of the Delta State Police Command, supported by local vigilantes and anti-cult volunteers, responded to credible intelligence about kidnappers along the Abraka Railway axis. A gun battle ensued, resulting in the death of four suspects and the seizure of an AK-47 rifle with 13 rounds of live ammunition.

In a separate incident, the Command’s CP-Special Assignment Team engaged another group of armed suspects on the Ughelli–Patani Road. The suspects, traveling in a shuttle bus, opened fire when intercepted at Ewhereni Junction. Police neutralized three kidnappers and recovered another AK-47 rifle loaded with 18 rounds. Investigations revealed that the group belonged to an active kidnapping syndicate in the region.

In Kaduna State, the police arrested Mohammed Kabir from Zamfara State after a high-speed chase near Zaria. His capture led to the recovery of a Toyota Camry abandoned along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.

Additionally, police recovered a stolen Honda CR-V after apprehending Emmanuel Oliseh, who had reportedly stolen the car in Abuja. Another Toyota Camry (1998 model) was intercepted with three suspects — Ibrahim Bala, Abdulsalam Abdullahi, and Abdulraman Muktar — who confessed to stealing it in Nasarawa State.

Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the efforts of the operatives and highlighted the importance of community-police collaboration in tackling crime. He encouraged Nigerians to provide actionable intelligence to support law enforcement and strengthen public safety nationwide.
