Love, legacy, and loyalty — Former Kaduna State Governor and Social Democratic Party (SDP) chieftain, Nasir El-Rufai, took to social media platform 𝕏 with a deeply heartfelt message celebrating his wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai, on her birthday.
In a tribute that’shting up timelines and warming hearts, El-Rufai described his first wife as not only his “teenage sweetheart” and “best friend”, but the woman who brought true meaning to his life when they tied the knot nearly four decades ago.
“My life began to have meaning when we married nearly 40 years ago,” he wrote, adding that Hadiza is the “disciplined taskmaster” who keeps their home and lives in perfect balance.
But the accolades didn’t stop there.
Hadiza, he noted, is the embodiment of brains, beauty, and brawn — holding three master’s degrees (in architecture, business administration, and creative writing), fluent in French, and a published novelist to boot.
“Please join me and members of the El-Rufai Family to wish my dearest wife… a very happy birthday,” he said, praying for her continued good health, long life, and happiness.
The former FCT Minister also praised her roles as a loving mother to Hon. Bello El-Rufai and his siblings, as well as a doting grandmother to their three grandchildren.
