43 Internet Fraudsters Nabbed By EFCC In Nasarawa Raid

In a major crackdown on cybercrime, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested forty-three individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Toto, Nasarawa State.

The EFCC, in a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, revealed that the operation took place on Friday, May 30, following credible intelligence linking the suspects to a web of online fraudulent activities.

During the coordinated raid, a trove of electronic gadgets and other items believed to be proceeds of cybercrime were confiscated. Among the seized items were 64 mobile phones — including high-end iPhones and Samsung models — an iPad, four laptops, and five motorcycles.

According to the Commission, investigations are currently underway to determine the depth of the suspects’ involvement in online scam networks. The EFCC assured the public that those found culpable will be formally charged in court once investigations are concluded.

This latest bust underscores the EFCC’s relentless commitment to dismantling cybercrime operations across Nigeria.
