Petrol Not Expensive In Nigeria – Dangote

Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, declared that petrol is not expensive in Nigeria, arguing that prices remain lower than in other West African countries. Speaking at the launch of the Deep Sea Port Access Road reconstruction in Lagos, he noted that in many neighboring countries, petrol sells for over $1 per litre—equivalent to about ₦1,600—compared to Nigeria’s current range of ₦800 to over ₦1,000.
He also named the road leading to the Dangote Refinery after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in honor of his support. Dangote assured Nigerians that fuel queues are a thing of the past, with previously non-operational fuel stations now functioning nationwide.
“There is no more shortage, no more queues, and there will never be,” he promised.
