No Mercy: Boko Haram’s Secret Hideouts Blown Up In Explosive NAF AirstrikesThe Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully executed a series of targeted airstrikes against Boko Haram enclaves in Borno State, eliminating numerous insurgents and destroying critical logistical facilities used by the terrorists.
The operation, which was part of Operation HADIN KAI, was conducted on June 5 and 6 in the Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia regions of Southern Tumbuns — areas known to be strategic strongholds for Boko Haram operations and supply coordination.
A statement released on Saturday by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information for NAF, revealed that the strikes were based on actionable intelligence and strategically timed to prevent insurgent activities during the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
“In a calculated series of precision strikes, our forces dismantled major Boko Haram hideouts in Borno. These sites were being used for planning and stocking up on supplies for coordinated attacks,” the statement said.
Gabkwet further explained that Boko Haram operatives had been plotting to launch disruptions during the festive period. The timely intervention by the Air Force disrupted these plans and neutralized the threat.
Post-strike assessments confirmed the death of several terrorists and the destruction of vital resources used for terrorist logistics and coordination. The airstrikes dealt a major blow to the insurgents’ operational capacity.
The Air Force emphasized that this proactive action reflects its ongoing dedication to protecting lives and maintaining national security
