In a surprising emotional turn, Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has revealed that her former rival, Mercy Johnson, is gravely ill—so much so, she says, it’s the kind of sickness she wouldn’t even wish on those who have wronged her.
Speaking during a candid Instagram Live session, Angela opened up to fans about the actress’s health status and their complicated past. Despite years of friction, Angela declared that she has chosen forgiveness—partly due to Mercy’s current condition, which she described as deeply troubling.
“The sickness I heard Mercy Johnson is battling… not even my enemies deserve that,” Angela said with visible emotion. “I truly want her to win. I’m not angry anymore. I’ve forgiven her.”
However, Angela didn’t stop there. She urged Mercy to take accountability for her past actions, stating that redemption must begin with sincere apologies—not just spiritual talk.
“Tell Mercy to apologize to the people she’s hurt. Don’t hide behind churchy words that don’t reflect who you are. If I say Mercy is evil, believe me, she was—but I forgive her.”
Angela further disclosed that her spiritual father advised her to let go of the bitterness, and she’s finally at peace with that decision.
“From the depths of my soul, I’ve forgiven her,” she said. “People don’t need to know the full story, but she knows what she did in this industry.”
