President Trump Trips While Walking Up The Stirs To Air Force One (Video)
President Donald Trump experienced a moment of awkward irony on Sunday, June 8, as he stumbled while ascending the stairs to Air Force One en route to Camp David — a move now going viral after years of him ridiculing President Biden for similar slips.
The stumble came just after Trump addressed reporters in Hagerstown, Maryland, responding to questions about whether he would invoke the Insurrection Act in light of immigration-related protests in Los Angeles.
“Depends on whether or not there’s an insurrection,” Trump replied, before adding, “We’re not going to let this happen to our country. We’re not going to let our country be torn apart like it was under Biden.”
The footage has sparked a flood of mockery online, with users pointing out the irony of Trump’s trip after his past criticism of Biden’s own balance blunders.
“I’m surprised he hasn’t replaced those stairs with a portable escalator,” tweeted RC Huffman. “Time to get Old Man Trump fitted for a wheelchair,” quipped Ron Filipkowski. “More beta energy,” added Northwestern law lecturer Jason DeSanto.
Journalist Aaron Rupar noted the hypocrisy: “When Joe Biden did stuff like this, Fox would play the clips over and over like it was as significant as the moon landing.”
The stumble is especially striking given Trump’s previous remarks in 2023, when he mocked Biden for falling during an Air Force graduation ceremony, calling it “not inspiring” and commenting, “You don’t want that.”
Now, with the roles reversed, social media has lit up, calling this the latest example of poetic political karma.
