FCT Minister says he embodies confidence and optimism for Rivers State’s future
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has boldly declared that he represents hope for Rivers State, insisting that no one can look at him and doubt the state’s potential.
Wike made the remark on Friday in Abuja during the commissioning of the newly completed Arterial Road N5, connecting Life Camp Junction to Ring Road III, an event officiated by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
“If you look at me, you’ll see there is hope for Rivers State. I don’t think anyone can say otherwise,” Wike asserted during his speech.
🙌 “I Am Lucky To Have Support Across Nigeria”
The former Rivers State governor expressed gratitude to the people of his home state and supporters across the country, noting that the strength of any man lies in those who stand with him.
“A man is strong not because of himself alone, but because of the people around him. If I had stood alone, maybe no one would notice me. But I’m surrounded by strength, loyalty, and support,” he said.
Wike praised his colleagues and friends from across Nigeria — from Abia to Enugu, Sokoto to Cross River — who continue to show up at major events in Abuja, affirming that their presence reflects national unity and belief in development.
🏗️ More Projects Coming Under Tinubu’s Watch
The FCT Minister assured Abuja residents of even greater infrastructure development under President Tinubu’s leadership.
“By the time this administration is done, no one will doubt that there are leaders who genuinely care about this country’s progress,” Wike stated.
He further revealed that Phase 2 of the Arterial Road project, which will connect to the airport, has already begun and is expected to be commissioned before the end of 2025.
