Deadly Dawn Raid: Nigerian Jets Obliterate Terror Camps In Surprise Airstrike! The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), has successfully carried out a precision airstrike on a terrorist stronghold in Bukar Meram, located on the southern edge of the Lake Chad basin.

This was revealed by counter-insurgency analyst Zagazola Makama via a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday.

The operation, executed around 5:45 a.m. on June 9, was part of Operation KALACHEN WUTA II—a renewed military offensive aimed at halting terrorist activity in the region, particularly during the festive season.

Makama disclosed that intelligence-led surveillance had detected terrorists regrouping in Bukar Meram with plans to launch coordinated attacks on the Marte and Monguno areas. Acting on this credible intel, the Air Component launched a rapid strike mission targeting the enclave.

The well-coordinated air assault resulted in the elimination of numerous terrorists and the destruction of critical assets, including supply trucks, weapons caches, and makeshift shelters. These losses have severely disrupted the terrorists’ logistics and operational capabilities.

A post-strike Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) confirmed the successful neutralisation of the imminent threat to Marte and Monguno. Intelligence efforts are ongoing to monitor terrorist responses and movement, while ground forces remain on high alert to intercept any fleeing fighters and maintain pressure on the group.
